Post-doc opportunity à I-Stem, en région Parisienne

An exciting opportunity exists for excellent early to mid-career scientist in the area of stem cell biology to join I-STEM as post-doctoral fellow. All areas of stem cell will be considered, but preference will be given to individuals with internationally-recognized expertise in applications of pluripotent stems cells for treatment of human disease.

The application must contain a research plan that outlines research visions and topics. The proposed research must complement/strengthen other research activities at I-STEM.

The successful applicant will be expected to develop an independent, internationally recognized research programme, and supervise graduate research students.

All candidates must have a PhD (or equivalent) degree and preferably post-doctoral research experiences. Selection will be based in part on a record of research publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, the ability to obtain extramural funding and the ability to conduct effective teaching at the undergraduate level.

 

Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent and an excellent track record and expertise in human genetics and molecular biology (and if possible in myology), as well as a good background and previous experience with the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data set and functional genetics. Good bioinformatics skills are a plus.

Salary Details: The salary will be according to the guidelines of the Inserm Status, depending on experience. The position will be initially available for 2 years.
