Post-doctoral position in Immunology (ImVA/IDMIT, Fontenay-aux-Roses, France)
A post-doctoral position in Immunology (2 years) is available immediately in the new research center for immunology of viral infections and auto-immune diseases (ImVA/IDMIT) at the CEA Fontenay-aux- Roses (15 mn from Paris with transportation).
The ideal candidate will be interested in studying the role of neutrophils in the regulation of immune responses against HIV and SIV infection. This project will combine bench experiments (including flow cytometry, RNA-seq) and bio-informatics analyses.
The ImVA/IDMIT headed by Dr. Roger Le Grand, brings together more than 100 scientists working on common scientific challenges related to innate and adaptive immunity in the context of viral infections and regulation of autoimmune disorders with state of art of flow or mass cytometry and in vivo imaging.
The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of Dr. Benoit FAVIER (Senior Researcher) and will benefit from the highly interactive environment of the cutting-edge technologies from ImVA/IDMIT as well as from local and international collaborations.
Candidate profile: We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a PhD in Immunology. Basic knowledge in bio-informatics analysis would be an asset. Applicants should be able to work both independently as well as collaboratively, with good communication and relation skills. Good oral and writing skills in English are required. The salary is based on the Inserm scale for postdoctoral research scientists.
