Post-doctoral position at I-STEM (Corbeil-Essonne, France)

The group of Dr Cécile Martinat at I-STEM invites applications for an available postdoctoral fellow position.

Description: As part of a team, the successful candidate will be involved in studies of neuromuscular junctions in normal and pathological conditions. Specifically, the project entails the cellular and molecular analysis involved in neuromuscular dysfunctions in spinal muscular atrophy. To accomplish the goals of the project, the postdoctoral fellow will use human pluripotent stem cells based approaches. Furthermore, by utilizing advanced microscopy/imaging techniques, the fellow will be responsible for the evaluation of neurojunction defects.

Qualifications: The position requires that the applicant have one of the following degrees: a PhD or an MD by the time of employment with preferred research expertise in one or more of the following scientific areas: Molecular and cellular neuroscience, human pluripotent stem cells and cellular/molecular biology.

Appointment: The initial appointment will be for one year with the possibility of renewal for 2 more years.
